Fifty ventilators bought with World Bank's support to be distributed to hospitals of Moldova

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/ - Another 50 ventilators purchased within the World Bank’s project, Emergency Response to COVID-19 in Moldova, will be distributed to hospitals from Moldova, to cope with the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and who need assisted breathing.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), the ventilators will reach the Republican Narcology Health Centre, Hospital of Dermatology and Transmissible Diseases, Institute of Phthisiopneomology Chiril Draganiuc, Emergency Medicine Institute, State Chancellery’s Hospital, Republican Clinical Hospital Timofei Mosneaga, MSMPS’ Clinical Hospital, Medical Institution for Children Emilian Cotaga Clinic, Balti-based Clinical Hospital, the districts hospitals from Causeni, Cimislia, Criuleni, Floresti, Edinet, Hancesti, Municipal Clinical Hospital for Children V. Ignatenco, Municipal Clinical Hospital St. Archangel Michael, Municipal Clinical Hospital No 1, Municipal Clinical Hospital Holy Trinity.
So far, 153,506 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Moldova. Presently, 233 patients are hospitalized in serious condition and 33 are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
