Government approved list of PhD students getting government excellence scholarship, nominal scholarship for 2021

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/- 21 PhD students in the country will receive the government excellence scholarship for 2021, amounting to 2,500 lei, and another five students will benefit from the nominal scholarship, which is 2 thousand lei, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

"I believe that education at all levels must become the number one priority in our country. Without significant investment in this area, we cannot talk about the sustainable development of the state in the medium and long term. The state's capital investments must go first and foremost in the gray matter of future generations ", the interim prime minister said.

Scholarships are awarded to doctoral students annually for a calendar year, starting with the second year of studies, enrolled in part-time and part-time education, who have accumulated the necessary number of credits and obtained outstanding academic performance in the following fields: natural sciences, engineering sciences and technologies, medical sciences, agricultural sciences, social and economic sciences, as well as humanities.

The granting of government excellence scholarships and scholarships on scientific fields for doctoral students will increase the attractiveness of doctoral studies and their quality, investments in doctoral students being capitalized by the potential benefits to the economic and socio-cultural environment of the country.
