As many as 612 new cases of COVID recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 2817 tests were processed in Moldova, confirming 612 cases of infection with the new coronavirus. In total, to date, 154,118 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), out of the total number of cases, 25 are medical workers: doctors-8, nurses-12, auxiliary staff-5.

In total, 2,200 patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized in hospital medical institutions, of which 225 are in extremely serious condition (31 patients are connected to assisted respiration devices).

Another 590 people were healed. In total, 144,356 people were treated by COVID-19.

MSMPS also reports on the registration of another 17 deaths caused by COVID-19, the death toll reaching 3299.
