Moldovan president has meeting with U.S. Ambassador

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan.

According to the presidential press service, Maia Sandu congratulated Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan on the swearing in office of President Joe Biden on 20 January 2021 and expressed confidence that Moldova would have a good cooperation with the new Washington administration.

„The United States is a reliable partner for the processes of development and democratization from Moldova and we want to deepen the cooperation with the USA in more sectors. I am confident that we will manage to boost the relations between our countries,’’ the Moldovan president said.

Also, the officials tackled such subjects as the political situation in Moldova, sanitary and economic crisis, need to reestablish the foreign financing. President Maia Sandu stressed, in the context, that Mldova needed help to back farmers and entrepreneurs to overcome the effects of the crisis.
