As many as 670 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,632 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 670 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 154,788 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 33 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –11, medical assistants –11 and auxiliary staff -11.

A number of 2,076 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 228 are in extremely serious condition (32 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,513 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,712 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 812 people have been treated. As many as 145,168 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,315 people have died of coronavirus in all.
