Leonid Oleinicenco re-elected in office of head of Moldovan Football Federation

Chisinau, 22 January /MOLDPRES/ - Leonid Oleinicenco has been re-elected in the office of head of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) for the next four years.
At the FMF’s 19th Congress, held at the Sports Complex Futsal Arena FMF from the Ciorescu village, 104 delegates out of those 111 elected Leonid Oleinicenco in the as head of the Moldovan Football Federation.
Also, new members were admitted to the FMF Executive Committee: Nicolae Usatii, Iurii Bulgareanu, Diana Bulgaru, Pavel Procudin, Sevastian Botnari and Victor Stina.
Upon a request by FIFA and UEFA, the Moldovan Football Federation broadcast the congress online, on a separate channel, for special experts of the two international organizations, which will subsequently give their opinions on the correctness of the holding of the General Assembly and the elections’ validation. The head of UAFA’s National Associations Strategic Development, Noel Mooney, the member of the Associations from Europe, Charles Boorman and Sofia Malizia were watchers of the video broadcasters.
Leonid Oleinicenco was the only candidate for the office of FMF president. The former captain of the national football team, Radu Rebeja, on 21 January held a protest outside the FMF building, noting that he had been prevented from participating in the elections for the post of head of the organization.
