Morbidity rate following COVID-19 decreasing in Chisinau

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/- In Chisinau, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 decreased.
The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearachi, said today at the online meeting of the services of the Chisinau city hall that although the incidence of COVID-19 remains high, the number of deaths due to this disease has decreased.
According to the official, on 21 January 671 coronavirus patients were hospitalized in municipal health institutions, another 366 treatment places being available. At the same time, Bucearschi announced that 1,807 Chisinau residents have mild forms of coronavirus and are treated at home, under the supervision of doctors.
According to statistics, since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 156,202 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Moldova. 65,755 cases were found in Chisinau, of which 53,704 were treated.
Tatiana Bucearschi announced that the state of emergency in health and the red health code remains current in Chisinau.
