Czech envoy awarded medal Honorary citizen of Gagaguzia

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/- Czech Ambassador to Moldova Zdeněk Krejcí was awarded the medal Honorary citizen of Gagauzia. The award was handed late last week during the diplomat's visit to the region.

The governor of Gagauz autonomy, Irina Vlah, thanked the Czech ambassador for carrying out several important projects in Gagauzia.

The Bashkan noted that Zdeněk Krejcí's contribution was the driving force for the implementation of several large-scale programs in the ecological field, according to gagauzinfo.md.

The Czech partners have allocated over 25 million euros for the isolation of landfills at the pesticide site in Cismichioi village, Vulcanesti district, and have contributed 500 million euros to secure and reduce the risk of contamination at the similar station in the district center.
