Multi-storey car park to be constructed at Chisinau-based Central Market

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall will construct a multi-storey car park in the handicraft sector of the Central Market.

At an online meeting of the city hall’s services, the Chisinau deputy mayor, Inga Ionesii, said that the project on building a multi-storey car park at the Central Market was ready and would be submitted to public consultations. ‘’The trade spaces for those who commercialize there will be kept at the first level of this parking and the second and third levels will be used for the parking,’’ Ionesii noted.

According to the official, the construction of a multi-storey car park is part of the concept on modernization of the Central Market. The concept sees the arrangement of public car parks on the Armeneasca, Tighina and Varlaam Streets.

At the same time, Inga Ionesii said that the works on modernization of the vegetables sector of the Central Market would start in late next February. ‘’Till mid-February 2021, designers from Chisinauproiect will finish the project on the carrying out of the works on modernization in the vegetables sector of the Central Market. As soon as we have it, we can start the works on modernization of this sector,’’ Ionesii said.
