As many as 224 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,279 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 224 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 156,426 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –2, medical assistants –1 and auxiliary staff -1.

A number of 2,175 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 225 are in extremely serious condition (47 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,418 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,370 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 230 people have been treated. As many as 147,178 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another seven deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,361 people have died of coronavirus in all.
