Moldovan literary critic's view on last year

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/- Well-known literary critic Eugen Lungu believes that 2020 will be linked to the pandemic and the virus will make its mark on what we have done during this period.
Although it was a very difficult year, says Eugen Lungu, Arc Publishing House, of which he is the editor-in-chief, ensured the timely release of the planned books and textbooks. He read and wrote a lot. Some articles and studies have already appeared in the press or in volumes.
Eugen Eugen Lungu was born on October 1, 1949 in Hăsnășenii Mari, Drochia district. In 1966, he graduated from the School No1 from Bălți. He studied at the State University of Moldova, he graduated from the Faculty of Letters (1975).
After graduating, he worked as a teacher of language and literature at the high school in Cărbuna, Anenii Noi (1975-1976). Later, he was a lecturer at the Alecu Russo University of Balti (1976-1978). In August-December 1977 he took retraining courses at the Pedagogical Institute in Moscow, universal literature.
In 1978 - 1987, he was an editor, then deputy editor-in-chief of the Artistic Literature Publishing House. He was a contributor to several periodicals: the magazine Columna (1987-1991), the newspapers Sfatul Țării and Observator (1991-1993), the magazines Basarabia, Sud-Est cultural, editor- head of the Encyclopedic Publishing House (1993-1994). From 1994 until now he is the editor-in-chief of the Arc Publishing House.
He was awarded the ASPRO Prize (1995), the Moldovan Writers' Union Prize (2004, 2009), the USM Excellence Prize (2013), the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova Constantin Stere Prize (2015), the National Prize team, 2015), the Romanian Academy Award Titu Maiorescu (2006), the Labor Glory Order and the Order of Romania Cultural Merit in the rank of Officer (2014).
