Gagauz authorities to continue to cooperate with foreign investors

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/- Gagauzia authorities will continue to work with investors and international partners, despite the crisis conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Vitali Vlah, head of external relations department of Comrat executive, in 2021 the autonomy administration aims to attract additional investments in the region, which will increase the local budget.
Among the major projects planned to start this year is construction of the Industrial College worth ten million euros. Also, the construction of a new block for the High School M. Eminescu will continue in Comrat, and building of the School of Arts will complete in Ceadâr-Lunga.
"Last week I had a meeting at the end of my term with the Czech ambassador to our country, Zdeněk Krejčí. I thanked him for the projects, and we are working on attracting amount of one million euros for reconstruction of the sewerage networks in Comrat ”, said Vitali Vlah, quoted by gagauzinfo.md.
He said that the works for the water supply of Vulcănești will continue this year, the cost of the project carried out with the support of the Turkish partners is 15 million euros. In February, a shopping center will open in Gagauzia that will provide hundreds of jobs.
"The actions of cooperation with foreign partners and attracting extra funds will allow us to correct the budget and reduce the deficit", Vitali Vlah said.
