Moldovan woman with burns carried with SMURD helicopter to Chisinau

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - A woman from the Falesti town has been carried by a SMURD (Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication) Iasi helicopter to Chisinau, after she was hit by burns of the first and second degrees on 50 per cent of the body.
Data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) shows that, today morning, an SMURD Iasi air and medical crew fulfilled a mission of urgent transportation of a woman from the Falesti district to Chisinau. The 64-year-old patient was taken by Romanian physicians and para-physicians from the Falesti district hospital and safely carried to the capital. On the way, the woman was monitored by the SMURD Iasi medical team.
The helicopter landed on the Dinamo stadium at 10:55, waited by the Aviasan Republican Service, which took over the patient to the Republican Centre of Thermal Injuries for investigations and treatment.
According to the IGSU statistics, this is the second air and medical SMURD intervention made in Moldova since early 2021.
