Moldovan parliament to declare MP seat vacant

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan parliament of the 10th Legislature will declare MP mandate vacant.
The legal commission on rules and immunities approved at today's meeting a report on the draft Decision on the resignation of a MP and will propose to the parliament for debate.
The mandate comes vacant following the resignation request submitted by MP Vladimir Golovatiuc, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova.
Vladimir Golovatiuc resigned as MP to take over the position of Moldovan Ambassador to the Russian Federation. He has been a member of the PSRM since 2014. Until December 2020, he served as head of the parliamentary committee on economy, budget and finance.
