Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - The government in 2020 carried out 66 per cent of the actions planned for the year before. Thirty per cent of the actions are under implementation and only four per cent were not carried out; the main reasons is the epidemiological situation triggered by the SARS-Cov-2 virus, which prompted the postponing of the carrying out of some actions, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The priority action sectors regarded the social protection and citizens’ health care, development of a sustainable economy, improving the sanitary and education systems, ensuring the public order, efficient management of public money, etc.

At the same time, as for the external relations, the government oriented its efforts to promoting a balanced policy, with maintaining the status of Moldova’s neutrality, to creating conditions of legal migration and ensuring the rights of Moldovan citizens who are temporarily in other states.

It is worth mentioning that the management of the epidemiological situation and preventing the spread of the Covid-19 infection, through backing the medical system, business environment and ensuring the citizens’ security, represented the priority No 1 of the government in 2020.

The report also shows that 242 out of 419 actions planned represent normative acts, the drafts of which were enforced at the level of 69 per cent, 28 per cent are under implementation and seven actions, i.e. three per cent were not fulfilled.
