Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - A concert titled, The Legend of Choral Art, dedicated to the Doina Academic Choir Chapel – one of the most representative and outstanding choral collectives of Moldova, will take place at the Chisinau-based Organ Hall, on the occasion of Doina’s 90th anniversary of the foundation, on 5 February at 18:00.
The event is organized by the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic in partnership with the host institution. According to the organizers, the rich history of concerts, made on a huge territorial area, comprising more countries, allowed this artistic staff to be deeply venerated and appreciated both by specialists and the audience.
Given that the 2020 was marked by more important events, among which the 180th birthday anniversary of the great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the part I of the concert programme will be dedicated to works by this great composer.
The Doina Academic Choir Chapel was founded by C. Pigrov in 1930. In 1962, conductor Veronica Garstea came at the head of the Doina Choir Chapel. Under her leadership, the Chapel’s repertoire was enriched with works of the Western, Russian and national classical music.
