Road maintenance services in capital intervened during night to combat icy roads

Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/- Last night, the municipal road maintenance services worked hard to fight icy roads.

According to the local public authorities, the Housing and Communal Administration and Planning service intervened by 02:00 with 22 machines and spread 53.8 tons of anti-skid material. Also, by 04:00, 203 workers were involved in fighting icy roads in the waiting stations, pedestrian crossings and accesses to the yards.

Exdrupo company employees intervened at night with 24 machines and spread 203 tons of anti-skid material and about 13 tons of salt to prevent the formation of icing on the main and secondary streets.

Association for the management of green spaces intervened during the night in parks and alleys with four mechanized units and 29 workers and spread 335 kg of salt and 3425 liters of salt solution.
