Investigation commission to consider situation at Moldovan Railway company

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/- A special commission will analyze the economic and financial situation in the Moldovan Railway company and the result of the activity of the railway transport branch for 2010-2020. A decision to set up the committee was approved today by members of the legal committee on rules and immunities.

The commission was set up as there is a critical financial situation at the company, with a debt of 459.4 million lei. At the same time, the salary arrears (partially for October and November 2020) are 35.5 million lei, for the contributions to the social and medical insurance budget - 26.9 million lei and to the budget - 5.5 million lei .

The commission will involve all state authorities in its work, hear the parties and persons involved and submit to parliament within 60 days a report on the results and conclusions of the investigation.
