Blood glucose tests might be compensated by state in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/ - Patients might benefit from blood glucose tests, from breast exoprosthesis and stoma bags, compensated from the mandatory health insurances accounts. The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family considered a draft law to this effect today.
Under the document, providing compensation of medical devices from the mandatory health insurances accounts will be made in the way approved by the government.
At the same time, the draft sees that, when selling compensated medical devices in ambulatory conditions, the trade markup applied will be up to 15 per cent at the acquisition price declared by the provider of medical devices. Up to five per cent of this – for the economic agents which produce, import and/or distribute wholesale compensated medical devices, both imported and native ones, cumulatively, on the entire wholesale distribution segment, up to the delivery in the retail network and up to 10 per cent - for the providers of pharmaceutical services.
To become law, the document must be discussed an approved in parliament’s plenum.
