Parliamenary commission to analyze situation at Railway of Moldova state enterprise

Chisinau, 4 February /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today ruled to set up a special commission, due to analyze the economic and financial situation at the state enterprise, Railway of Moldova (CFM) and the result of the railway transport branch’s work for the period 2010-2020. In a 60-day period, the commission will present a report to the parliament.
The commission will be made up of ten members and will be led by lawmaker Oleg Lipski. The reason for the commission’s creation was the critical financial situation at the Railway of Moldova state enterprise and the enterprise’s debts to its employees.
The data shows that, in late 2020, the enterprise’s credit debt was 459.4 million lei. The salary debts (partially for October and November 2020) amounted to 35.5 million lei; the debts of for the contributions to the social insurances budget and health insurances – 26.9 million lei, to the budget – 5.5 million lei. Also, decision-makers record a deficit of current assets as a result of the formation of debit debts, which amounted to 275.4 million lei on 30 December 2020.
The MPs asked the CFM leadership not to allow the ceasing of the inter-urban movement by train.
