Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- Today's Official Journal published the National Program for the development of cities-growth poles in Moldova (2021-2027). Edineț, Soroca, Ungheni, Orhei, Cahul, Comrat municipalities and their adjacent rural areas were set as beneficiaries of the program.
This National Program, as a medium-term public policy document (2021-2027), aims to support the acceleration of the socio-economic development of six municipalities - regional centers in Moldova to transform them into growth poles, able to support the dissemination of development in neighboring rural areas.
Under the government decision, to benefit from the Program, the local public authorities of the beneficiary municipalities will ensure the establishment of the necessary institutional framework, will work out and approve the Operational Plans for the implementation of the Program at local level.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM) will ensure the establishment of the necessary institutional framework for the implementation of the Program at national and regional level.
Control over the execution of the decision is the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
