Moldova, France complete negotiations on draft convention on avoiding double taxation

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration have finalized negotiations with the French side on the draft Convention to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion on income taxes.

Following the negotiations, the text of the draft was finalized, ensuring a consensus on the fiscal treatment under the Convention. 

According to the head of the Moldovan delegation of negotiators, Dorel Noroc, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance, the Convention focuses on creating coordinated tax systems between the two countries, as well as eliminating tax discrimination in any form. "This will ensure favorable conditions for conducting foreign economic activity and strengthening bilateral relations," he said.

To enter into force the draft Convention, the internal procedures necessary for signing and ratifying the document are to be carried out.
