Chisinau city hall holds online meeting with mayors of suburbs

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall held an online meeting today with mayors of 18 localities that are part of Chisinau.

The meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban, offered the possibility for the mayors of the suburbs to expose themselves on the main problems they face. Thus, most said that the main problems are related to public transport, waste management and the continuation of sewerage and aqueduct works in the localities they manage.

Durlești mayor Eleonora Șaran said that two local transport routes will appear in the locality, but this will not solve the problem related to ensuring the connection of the suburb with the city.

Gratiesti mayor Victor Mardare said that the rising inflation led to the increase of the execution price of the sewerage networks in the old part of Grătiești. "If in 2014 for the execution of sewerage works were needed 9 million 400 thousand lei, in 2021 the price of these works reaches 11 million 200 thousand lei. We request 3 million from the municipality ", he said.

Chisinau includes six cities and 12 villages, where about 130,000 people live.
