Revenues worth 4.96 billion lei collected in Moldova's national public budget in last January

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Revenues amounting to 4.96 billion lei were collected in the national public budget in January 2021, up by 251.2 million lei against January 2020. The expenses stood at 5 billion lei, increasing by 252.2 million euros against January last year.
According to the Finance Ministry, the fulfillment of the national public budget resulted in a deficit of 38.5 million lei. The balances of financial assets in the accounts of the budgets components of the national public budget amounted to 6.7 billion lei.
„At the same time, the state budget revenues stood at three billion lei in the first month of 2021, up by 262.2 million lei against January 2020. The revenues managed by the State Fiscal Service (SFS) were worth 1.6 billion lei, by 177 million lei more against January last year and the revenues managed by the Customs Service stood at 1.5 billion lei, increasing by 59.8 million lei against the first month of the year before,’’ the Finance Ministry said.
The state budget’s expenses were fulfilled in a sum of 3.6 billion lei, up by 76.9 million lei against January 2020. The carrying out of the state budget resulted in a deficit worth 611.7 million lei. The balances of financial assets in the accounts of the state budget amounted to 3.8 billion lei.
The Finance Ministry also informed that it had ensured the fulfillment of all payment commitments for January 2021, with all payments fully financed. „We also reiterate that there are no risks of non-fulfillment/ ceasing of the expenses approved in the budget, given that the budget has enough financial resources and permanently provides a prudent management of the liquidities. In this respect, we note that the salaries, pensions, social benefits and other priority expenses will be paid fully and in time,’’ reads a press release of the Finance Ministry.
