Works on construction of road segment in southern Moldova completed at level of 41 per cent

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - The works on construction of 19 km of the M3 national road, segments Porumbrei-Cimislia, have been completed at the level of 41 per cent and the construction of 18 km of the bypass road of the Comrat city show a progress of over 39 per cent, the State Administration of Roads (ASD) has reported.
The data was set forth at a today’s online meeting with the participation of ASD representatives, the mediator of the Commission for Adjudicating Disputes, Nigel Grout, representatives of entrepreneurship and companies which supervise the carrying of the construction works.
The sides discussed the progress of the construction works on the aforementioned segments, recorded since the last meeting, difficulties faced by the entrepreneur at the carrying out of contracts and the disagreements which might emerge between the sides, so that any dispute can be prevented and solved.
The meetings with the mediator, as preventive mechanism for monitoring and ensuring the project’s implementation, are established once in three months or more often, depending on the difficulties emerged in the contracts’ fulfillment.
The contracts, with the investment’s value of more than 59 million euros, provided by the European Investment Bank, were concluded with the ONUR company in early September 2018 and the deadline for finishing the works is late January 2022.
