Road traffic ensured in winter conditions on national roads of Moldova

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - The road traffic is presently ensured in winter conditions on all national public roads.  

According to the State Administration of Roads (ASD), low air temperatures and snow were recorded all over Moldova on the night of 5 to 6 February; the roadway is wet, covered with snow in places.

Territorial units of the Drumuri (Roads) stock company carried out works of patrol, clearing snow, combating the glazed frost on national public roads from northern and central Moldova and patrol works – in the southern region.  

Thus, 100 special vehicles and 123 road workers were involved in the technological process.

The State Administration of Roads warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the road traffic regulation as to the vehicles’ endowment and driving in winter conditions. 

Drivers can demand roadmen’s intervention in case of blockage on national roads 24 hours at the active phone numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

According to meteorologists, the snowfall will maintain all the day long today; the cloudy weather is expected till 8 February and sleet is forecast for 9 February.
