As many as 843 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,694 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 843 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 164,243 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 41 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –13, medical assistants –20 and auxiliary staff -8.

As many as 2,726 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 253 are in extremely serious condition (44 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,656 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,109 are under supervision at home.

Another 644 people have been treated. As many as 153,196 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,530 people have died of coronavirus in all.
