Meteorologists issue yellow ice code in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) issued yellow ice code throughout the country by tomorrow.

According to meteorologists, today and tomorrow precipitation will fall as rain and sleet, ice will form on large areas.

The first days of this week will be characterized by thermal values up to 9 degrees Celsius during the day, and up to +3 degrees at night. In the north, the air temperature will be to - 2 degrees at night.

Rescuers warn that due to icing, road traffic will be complicated on the roads, possible damage to power lines and breaking tree branches. In this context, rescuers and police ask people to be careful, avoiding dangerous places and non-urgent trips.
