Road traffic ensured in winter conditions

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- Roadmen continue to carry out patrol, snow removal and anti-skid works on the national routes. Currently, road traffic is ensured in winter conditions, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.

In the last 24 hours, ice has formed on several road sections, the condition of the road being slippery, sometimes snowy. "Last night, Roads company employees carried out patrol and anti-skid works on the national public roads in all regions of the country, with 193 machines and 313 road workers involved in the process", ASD said.

ASD warns drivers to comply with the road traffic regulations on equipping cars and driving in winter. Road users may request the intervention of roadmen if blockage on national routes to phone numbers : 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

The yellow ice code is valid today in the country. Snow, sleet and rain are expected over large areas.
