Number of patients with COVID-19 increased in Chisinau

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- The number of beds available for coronavirus patients has decreased in the municipal hospitals in Chisinau.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that in the municipal health institutions, the number of beds for coronavirus patients has decreased.

According to the official, 906 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 47 are in very serious condition, eight people are intubated, 314 are in serious condition and 537 patients are in average condition. "Since the beginning of the pandemic, 365 family doctors have provided assistance through the GIRA system for 44,552 patients who had mild forms of COVID-19," Bucearschi said.

At the same time, the official said that under the GIRA system, the municipal health system was computerized and the electronic municipal Register COVID-19 was created. This register will be interconnected with the national health system.
