Parking project in Central Market to be ready in late February

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- By late February 2021, the design of the multi-storey car park to be built on the territory of the Central Market will be ready.

Deputy Mayor of Chisinau Inga Ionesii said at today's online meeting of the municipal services that by late February, the design of the parking lot on the territory of the Central Market will be completed and will be submitted to public debates.

According to the official, the representatives of the General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications and Central Market signed a collaboration agreement on the matter.

Chisinau city hall announced in May 2020 the plan to modernize the central market. According to this plan, the market will be divided into several sectors and will be equipped with parking spaces. The municipality said that the market will be modernized in three years. For this, 40 million lei will be allocated from the municipal budget.
