Farmers affected by drought to get diesel from Romania

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/- The government of Romania has approved the granting of humanitarian aid free of charge to Moldova to support farmers affected by drought. President Maia Sandu made the statement today.
In the next period all the necessary procedures for diesel to reach farmers will be implemented. "We will monitor its equitable distribution," Maia Sandu said.
"We are happy with this good news for our country - as a result of the agreements we had with Mr. Iohannis, the Romanian government approved the humanitarian aid free of charge for Moldova to support farmers affected by drought. We thank all those who made possible this aid of 6000 tons of diesel, especially President Klaus Iohannis and Prime Minister Florin Cîțu ", the president said.
The Romanian official noted that Romania had prepared a support package for the Moldovan citizens, which includes the provision of up to 200 thousand doses of vaccine, assistance from Romanian experts in preparing the vaccination strategy, as well as medicines, medical and protective equipment for the care of patients with COVID- 19.
