Well-known Moldovan accordion player turns 70

Chisinau, 8 February /MOLDPRES/ - A well-known accordion player of Moldova, Master in Art Ion Talambuta turned 70 today.
He was born in the Leadoveni village, presently Corlateni, north-western Rascani district, on 8 February 1951. In 1966-1969, Talambuta studied at the Elena Sarbu Culture School from Soroca, accordion class. In 1969-1974, he studied accordion at the Gavriil Muzicescu Arts Institute and then he improved his knowledge at the Chisinau-based Conservatoire during 1987-1992.
Ion Talambuta started his stage career as accordionist of the Fluieras folk music orchestra from Chisinau in 1976-77. During 1977-1984, he was accordionist of the Folclor folk music orchestra of the Radio and Television from Chisinau.
Starting from 1984, he was teacher of conducting orchestras, instrumentation, reading scores at the Stefan Neaga College from Chisinau.
In 1996, Ion Talambuta was awarded the honorific title Master in Art. In June 2011, Ion Talambuta was awarded the Labour Glory order for special progress made in the creative activity, contribution brought to the promotion of young talents and high professional mastership.
