64 localities in center, south of country cut off power due to frost

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/- Frost filed in recent days on conductors and trees near the overhead power lines caused various damage situations, including the fall of electric pylons and left without power 64 localities in the center and south of the country. Premier Energy Distribution has made the statement.

The most affected districts are Orhei with 22 localities without energy, Straseni with eight localities, Criuleni six, Anenii Noi and Causeni with five localities and others with less than unscheduled interruptions. Many wires of 10kV and 0.4 kV overhead power lines located both inside and outside the locality are affected.

The operative intervention teams worked all night to secure the places of the broken pipes and to remove the fallen trees over the lines, and from the first hours of the morning 57 mobile formations were involved in the works, equipped with the necessary technique and materials to carry out the repair works.

In this context, the supplier draws the attention of the population to exercise caution and observe the rules of electrical safety to avoid accidents.
