As many as 805 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,385 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 805 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which eight import ones. As many as 165,663 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 44 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –19, medical assistants –18 and auxiliary staff -7.

As many as 3,021 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 226 are in extremely serious condition (34 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,820 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 14,196 are under supervision at home.

Another 141 people have been treated. As many as 154,444 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,573 people have died of coronavirus in all.
