Anti-COVID immunization activities to be coordinated by National Committee, set up under decision of Moldova's National Extraordinary Public Health Commission

Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) today approved the setting up of a National Committee on coordinating the activities of ant-COVID immunization, which will ensure also the coordination of the immunization process in Moldova, in line with the national plan on anti-COVID-19 immunization. CNESP approved including the composition of the National Committee, whose president was nominated by acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry will deal with the ensuring of the citizens’ communication and informing and the National Public Health Agency (ANSP) will ensure the planning, organization, evaluation and monitoring of the process of anti-COVID-19 immunization. At the same time, ANSP will ensure the periodical updating of relevant data from Moldova on the epidemiological situation, including the cases confirmed by laboratory, hospitalization and deaths associated with COVID-19.
At the same time, ANSP will cooperate with the Interior Ministry, especially with the General Police Inspectorate, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, General Inspectorate of Border Police, as well as with the Civil Aviation Authority and the Customs Service, in order to ensure the security of the consignments of vaccine at all stages of their reception, carriage, stocking in proper conditions and their distribution through the ANSP territorial subdivisions.
The reception of the donations on behalf of the foreign partners (needed medical devices, equipment and consumables) will be ensured by the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) and the Reintegration Policies Bureau will facilitate the interaction on aspects regarding the Transnistrian region of Moldova, through the channel of dialogue of the political representatives in the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian settlement and of the working groups for health care, with the participation of experts from both banks of Dniester.
The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, along with ANSP will ensure the supervision of the adverse post-immunization events and the National Health Insurances Company will finance from the prophylaxis measures fund the expenses for covering the cost of vaccines and consumables, in order to carry out the measures of reducing the risk of falling sick with the COVID-19 infection, within the limit of the sources available.
