Dual Education Week held in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) will launch starting with 16 February the Dual Education Week. Several events will take place for six days, dedicated to areas such as: medicine, textile industry, agriculture, automotive, electronics and engineering, food industry.
Young people aged 15-18 willing to embrace an interesting and demanding job can travel virtually and discover useful information about the opportunities offered by technical vocational education through a dual system, sources in MECC said.
Dual education in Moldova is increasingly demanded by young people. More than 1,500 students from all over the country study, work and earn at the same time. They are enrolled in 34 technical vocational institutions in the country and at the same time, learn and do practical training in 93 companies.
Dual Education Week is part of the national campaign to promote technical vocational education through dual system - Learn, Work, Earn, launched in 2018. It is organized by MECC within Moldovan-German cooperation under the project Support to promoting technical vocational education for a green economy implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) with the financial support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany and the Swiss Cooperation Office.
