Road workers continue to fight icy roads

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/- Road administrators continue to carry out patrol and anti-skid works on national routes. Currently, the accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured in winter conditions, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.

In the last 24 hours, rain and heavy fog were recorded throughout the country.

"Roads company trained 32 special machines in the technological process and involved 38 road workers, performing in the northern and central regions patrol and anti-slip works, and in the southern area - patrol works", ASD said.

SHS announced for today Yellow Ice Code, valid for the central and northern regions. According to meteorologists, icy roads will remain on large areas. In the next few days, the air temperature of up to +12 degrees Celsius are expected in the country during the day and - 3 +7 degrees at night. On 12 February the weather will suddenly cool down, reaching -13 degrees Celsius.
