As many as 890 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,597 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 890 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import ones. As many as 166,553 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 44 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –11, medical assistants –24 and auxiliary staff -9.

As many as 3,000 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 271 are in extremely serious condition (44 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 512 people have been treated. As many as 154,956 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,589 people have died of coronavirus in all.
