Romania to provide Moldova with medical equipment worth about 48 million lei

Chisinau, 10 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister of Romania Florin Cîţu today informed that the emergency external humanitarian assistance, provided by the Romanian government to Moldova for free, in effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, would be made up, initially, of medical protection equipment worth about 11 million Romanian lei (RON) (more than 47 million Moldovan lei). They will be brought to Chisinau on 11-13 February.
According to AGERPRES, the Romanian government today ruled to provide a free of charge external emergency humanitarian assistance for Moldova’s authorities. ‘’Romania’s delegation participating in the donation mission will be made up of eight persons, including representatives of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations,’’ Florin Cîţu said at the end of a cabinet meeting.
He noted that the consignment of equipment due to be brought to Chisinau comprised: 1.5 million surgical masks, 100,000 FFP3 masks, 100,000 coveralls, 100,000 non-sterile gloves.
