As many as 993 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 3,342 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 993 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import ones. As many as 167,546 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 50 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –16, medical assistants –26 and auxiliary staff -8.

As many as 2,987 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 280 are in extremely serious condition (50 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 4,044 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 14,192 are under supervision at home.

Another 601 people have been treated. As many as 155,557 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,607 people have died of coronavirus in all.
