Road traffic on all national public routes under winter conditions

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Currently, road traffic on all national public routes is ensured in winter conditions, and road workers continue to carry out patrol, snow removal and anti-skid works, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.

According to the institution, in the last 24 hours, low air temperatures were registered across the country, it snowed in the northern and central regions, icy roads. "Roads company trained 210 special equipment and 292 roadmen in the technological process," ASD said.

ASD warns drivers to be informed about the road situation, complying with the Road Traffic Regulations on equipment of the vehicle with appropriate tires and the adaptation of the speed regime to the winter traffic conditions.

The Yellow Code of sudden change of weather remains in force throughout the country until 17 February. During the period, the air temperature will gradually drop to -22 degrees. Today and tomorrow precipitation as rain with snowfall is expected, isolated heavy snow. On February 12-13, the wind will gust up to 17-22 meters per second, icy roads.
