State office to investigate transport incidents

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- The Office for Investigation of Transport Accidents and Incidents could be created in Moldova. A bill to this effect was approved today in first reading by parliament.
Under the document, the office will be a central administrative authority, subordinated to the government, aimed at organizing technical investigation into safety of transport events, in order to determine the causes and circumstances in which they occurred and to issue safety recommendations.
The draft was worked out by the government and seeks to harmonize the national legal framework to EU norms.
