Remembrance, Thanksgiving Day to be marked on 2 March

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Today, the parliament approved a draft amendment to the decision on memorial days and holidays in Moldova. According to the document, Remembrance Day, marked annually on 2 March will be renamed Remembrance and Thanksgiving Day.
The decision was taken by a majority vote, and according to the authors, it will maintain the spirit of patriotism.
"Remembrance and Thanksgiving Day is required to have a lot of actions aimed at maintaining the value of the contribution of 29 thousand heroes who fought for Moldova", according to the informative note of the draft.
