Moldsovan capital's authorities, National Anticorruption Centre, Food Safety Agency to ensure control of nourishment in municipal education institutions

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Youth and Sport Department (DGETS) of the Chisinau city hall and the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), along with representatives of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), have agreed on measures needed to ensure control over the nourishment in the Moldovan capital’s education institutions.    

Representatives of these institutions, as well as members of the working group on the procurement of food products for the education institutions and the specialized economic agents assembled at a working meeting, during which they discussed the requirements imposed and the measures undertaken by the authorities to organize a qualitative nourishment process in the kindergartens from Chisinau.   

The measures necessary regard the ensuring of control and the safety of foodstuffs which are brought to institutions for children’s nourishment, observance of the general hygiene norms in the process of delivery of food products, monitoring the observance of the norms of organizing the children’s nourishment and excluding the phenomenon of corruption in the concerned sector.  

In the context of notifications made on the quality of products supplied to kindergartens from Chisinau, the DGETS deputy head, Andrei Pavaloi, stressed that the food products reaching the tables of children must meet the requirements stipulated in the certificate of quality and inoffensiveness. Otherwise, the goods will be returned and the infringements of the requirements seen in the tender book will be made public.   

For their part, the DGETS decision-makers from sectors set forth the problems they are facing in terms of nourishment; in particular, they refer to non-compliance of the goods supplied by economic agents or non-observance of the schedule of delivery of products to education institutions.   

At the meeting, the DGETS invited the sides to strengthening efforts to ensure a qualitative nourishment for all children from Moldova’s capital.
