Moldovan authorities conduct simulation exercise of getting anti-COVID vaccine

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/- Given the start of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the National Agency for Public Health in partnership with the World Health Organization in Moldova and UNICEF Moldova organized today a simulation exercise of getting, distributing and administering the anti-COVID vaccine.
According to authorities, so Moldova aligns vaccine management mechanisms to international recommendations and standards.
Under data by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the first batches of vaccine could reach Moldova in mid-February. It is about 24,570 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine and 264,000 doses of Oxford / AstraZeneca. MSMPS received confirmation of vaccine delivery from the COVAX platform on 30 January. Previously, the Romanian leadership announced it will donate 200,000 doses of COVID vaccine to Chisinau.
