As many as 1,280 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,100 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,280 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 168,826 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.  

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 67 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –19, medical assistants –31 and auxiliary staff -17.

As many as 3,093 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 286 are in extremely serious condition (55 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 4,329 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 14,669 are under supervision at home.

Another 641 people have been treated. As many as 156,198 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,626 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus also killed a 60-year-old physician of the Ceadar-Lunga District Hospital. Thus, eighty medical employees have died because of coronavirus till present.
