Moldovan capital's administration prepares new conception on car parks in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau municipal administration analyzes the situation of the car parks in the city, in order to prepare a new conception.

Presently, the local public administration works for classifying the types of the current car parks, possibility to make a feasibility study and ways according to which one or another car mark model will work.

According to the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, the situation is complicated, as ‘’about 400,000 vehicles move in the city, instead of 100,000 – a figure representing the total capacity of the streets.’’

The mayor noted that ‘’the city hall has no grounds which might be re-oriented for car parks and the grounds which existed in the Centru district were privatized and dismembered.’’ Ceban also said that work was carried out on the new conception and the city hall would not hurry to make public more information.
