Moldova's State Fiscal Service registers 1,550 contracts on lease

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 1,550 contracts on lease/rent were registered at the State Fiscal Service (SFS) in January 2021.   

According to SFS, following actions of informing and compliance, undertaken in last January, 570 private people were identified who rent real estate.

„For 15 out of these private people, who rent real estate and did not comply with the legal provisions, the following payments were calculated for the budget: basic payments – 51.8 thousand lei, penalties – 6.5 thousand lei and fines – 2.7 thousand lei,’’ SFS said.     

The State Fiscal Service reminds that, under the Fiscal Code, the subjects of the private people who do not carry out entrepreneurial activity and give in possession  and/or for use real estate (lease, rent, beneficial interests, superficies), pay a fine worth 7 per cent of the contract’s value.

„These people are obliged, in a three-day term after the contract’s conclusion, to register the contract signed at the State Fiscal Service. This tax is paid monthly, on the date 25 of the current month at the latest, in the way set by SFS,’’ the State Fiscal Service added.
