Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/- The National Association of Beekeepers of Moldova (ANARM) will help several beekeepers in the country this year to register their businesses and identify sources of funding for beekeeping business, including by applying for subsidies.
The activities are part of the project Development of services for beekeepers provided by ANARM, implemented with the support of the Project of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) High-Value Agriculture in Moldova.
This initiative comes in response to the challenges of Moldovan beekeepers in the process of transition from hobby to profitable business. "Currently, many beekeepers remain unregistered as economic entities, which is a barrier to accessing investment funds (subsidies, loans, grants, etc.)," ANARM head Ion Maxim said.
To support beekeepers, the Association will provide new consulting and support services to help beekeepers overcome these barriers. Thus, beekeepers will be informed about the need to register businesses, legal forms of organization of entrepreneurial activity, registration procedures, legal and economic aspects in entrepreneurial activity.
Within the project, ANARM initiated the development of a mobile application, the purpose of which is to facilitate the communication of agricultural producers and beekeepers regarding the spraying of agricultural crops to protect bees from poisoning with phytosanitary products. The application is to be tested, so that, in the first half of 2022, it will be officially launched for use throughout the Republic of Moldova.
